REHABILIATION AND THERAPY SERVICES
 
INPATIENT: PCCC maintains a team of nurses, therapists and discharge planners whose goal is to strengthen and educate our short stay residents to prepare them for home. Through correct exercise, nursing management, and home evaluation, our staff strives to restore our residents to their optimal function. Therapies can be provided in our gym or in our outdoor mobility garden.
 
Comprehensive therapy evaluations and individual treatment programs are designed for individuals affected by:
 

  • Stroke
  • Fractures
  • Pneumonia
  • COPD, Bronchitis
  • Traumatic Brain Injuries
  • Falls
  • Debility Following Recent Surgery
  • Other Diagnoses

 
OUTPATIENT: Outpatient therapy services are available Monday through Friday. Most insurance plans are accepted, including Workers Compensation.

THE REHAB TEAM
NURSES: Our professional nursing staff includes Tinley Vickers (RN, Resident Care Manager) and her staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medication Aides and Certified Nursing Aides. They specialize in wound care, ostomy teaching, diabetic education, pain management, medication management, peritoneal dialysis and IV therapy.

SPEECH THERAPIST: Sharon Butler, Speech Language Pathologist, treats individuals who have difficulty speaking and comprehending spoken and written communication or swallowing difficulties. Sharon has extensive experience with pediatric, young adult, and geriatric patients.

PHYSICAL THERAPISTS: Scott MacGregor, DPT, and his staff work with individuals on balance, coordination, strengthening, gait, transfer, and functional mobility.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS: The Occupational Therapy team helps individuals learn to perform tasks of daily living through meaningful, purposeful activities. Using exercise, splinting and adaptations, they teach individuals the skills needed for the job of living.

SOCIAL SERVICES: Kerrisue Monihan, BSW, and her staff work with the resident, family and the Rehab Team to evaluate and arrange the resident’s return to the community.
